Ankita

Ankita can implement her analytical and calculation skills in training and developing mathematical aptitude into the students, developing their genius to enhance the name and fame of the organization. She has been working to educate students for over 10 years and passionate about engaging students on all levels, enhancing their social experiences by encouraging group lessons and learning .

Chloe

Chloe has been working as an educator since 2017. She began her educational journey when she was in Ottawa at Carleton University. She worked within various schools and centres to provide extra assistance to students. She also taught dance classes. She has worked within the Peel, Toronto and the Centre Wellington area. Chloe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Studies and Art History from Carleton University in Ottawa and went to Tyndale Teacher’s College in Toronto. She has been working for Lorvale Academy from when they began their journey. She has enjoyed meeting many new students and helping them progress with their literacy levels. Chloe is always seeking new ways to help keep her students engaged and enjoy the learning environment!

Christina

Christina is a passionate educator who has been teaching and aiding students from all educational levels. She started her educational journey at the CIBC Discovery Center at the Royal Ontario Museum located in Downtown Toronto where she was able to enhance her teaching ability by educating visitors on the content. Since then, she has taught a variety of Secondary School level courses at accredited private schools throughout the years including all levels of Academic English, ESL, Civics & Careers, Geography, Applied Sciences, History, Art, Business, Economics, Health and Nutrition, and Academic Sociology courses. Overall, she has a passion for teaching and assisting students throughout their educational journey.

Cindy

Cindy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Union University in the U.S.A. She has 13 years of experience in teaching students with learning disabilities in reading, math, science, and history. She recently achieved her Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University in the U.S.A. and earned certifications to teach English as a Second Language. Since then, she has taught students from international backgrounds, including those from Brazil, China, Japan, Russia, Poland, Turkey, and Germany.

Clara

Clara is a highly qualified English Specialist with over 10 years of teaching experience for all levels of Academic English, ESL, EIL, EFL, history, among other subjects. In addition to teaching, she has been actively involved in teacher-training and curriculum. She holds a Masters of Education degree, an Honours Bachelor’s degree and a Diploma of Teaching English as an International Language. Clara is a polylinguist, speaking seven languages. She uses her linguistics education to accelerate learner success, helping students of all ages to overcome their barriers. Her passion, creativity, and quick responses help students reach their potential. She is an expert at diversifying teaching strategies to match learners through creative and active learning.

Daria

As a French Studies major, Daria continues to teach and enhance French education. She enjoys teaching children and their enthusias in exploring and learning the language. She love for teaching aids students to become better, especially with speaking and writing.

Dr. Prativa

Dr. Prativa Dawadi has more than 15 years teaching experience in class and online including University, Colleges and High Schools. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Post-doctorates . She is familiar with the Ontario curriculum and has rich teaching experience in a variety of disciplines, which includes Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Organic chemistry, Physics and Science. Meanwhile, Dr. Prativa Dawadi is also well versed in literature, and has written books and 25 scientific publications.

Eileen

Ilma

Ilma Sarwar is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University majoring in Medical Physics. Aside from a Math and Physics background, Ilma has a passion for English reading and writing. With two years of experience working with children from ages 4 to 14, Ilma’s lessons are fun and interactive. She is confident in fitting lessons to students’ personalities and learning styles. Ilma is very excited to welcome kids from all backgrounds and promote learning in a fun and meaningful way.

Jeff

Jeff grew up in Toronto and graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Radio and Television Arts. He had a radio career in program hosting, news reading and remote broadcasts. He also spent time in production studios to create programs and commercials. Then he began his teaching career with a position at Georgian College in Owen Sound teaching high school level English to mature students. Jeff achieved certification to teach ESL online in 2020 and hasve had students from around the world, from as young as age six.

Karen

Karen holds a degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Toronto and has been working to educate students for over 5 years. As a trilingual speaker of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, she can help students learn languages with much ease. Karen is skilled in the sciences, computer programming, and also has great passion for the arts. She creates excellent learning experiences by combining knowledge and creativity. With the ability to handle various class sizes and skill levels of students, Karen plans for the success of her students and aims to provide the best education for them.

Marcus

Marcus is a stimulating orator, who for over 20 years has regularly delivered motivational presentations in Europe and North America - for audiences of up to 7 000 people. As a bilingual, his enthusiasm captivates and inspires listeners and students alike. He is passionate about teaching and loves learners.'' Marcus is someone who asks the questions that awaken and cultivate curiosity, thinking abilities, and the desire to grow. He focuses on promoting self-esteem, opening the imagination, and expanding the students’ horizons. Marie-anne

Marie‐Anne is a native-speaking French Teacher who is highly interactive and innovative. She naturally creates a warm atmosphere in the class while teaching French with real‐life scenarios and topics that will relate to the interests of each student. She uses visual, colourful and artistic methods that involve students’ senses and feelings, which facilitates and stimulates memorization and promotes natural expression of the language skills acquired.

Mattie

Mattie holds a Master of Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of Alberta. She is a seasoned trilingual educator with over 15 years of experience in teaching English to students in extracurricular programs in Hong Kong (from Kindergarten to Grade 12). Besides having a strong background in English and Chinese curriculum development, Mattie is proficient in employing different strategies to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for students.

Michael

Michael has been an active member/contributor to the computer chess forum Talkchess.com since 2001. He also has a wide and in-depth knowledge of both past and current software and uses mainly the Chessbase programs for his training since the 1990s. His peak rating was 2645 in bullet on Chesscube. Michael also has a TESOL certificate and has been involved in part-time teaching to kids at weekend English lesson outreach activities for 6 to-12- years olds), while having taught part time in computer courses at University in Samar Island.

Michelle

Michelle has a Master’s degree in Childhood Education, and Bachelor's degree in Psychology in addition to also Early Childhood Education and Developmental Service Worker diplomas. Furthermore, she has 14 years’ experience working in an educational environment both overseas and in Canada. She has approximately 5 years experience teaching students from Kindergarten to grade 7 on-line. Michelle is experienced in teaching Math, Literacy, Science, Social Studies, ESL, and writing.

Peter

Peter studied business management at Humber College. In 2019, he launched his own chess tutoring business. He has taught students in over 30 Toronto District Schools during lunch and after-school programs and has even travelled as far as British Colombia to teach students chess. Peter has successfully tutored many students ranging in age from 5-16 years old. Peter also has the experience of being a tournament chess player for more than 10 years and has a current CFC rating of 1500. He specializes in helping beginner players get ready to play their first tournaments and hopes to inspire students to continue to improve themselves and their chess game for years to come.

Ray

Ray is an experienced financial market participant with over 7 years of working experience in the Canadian financial industry. He holds a Master of Financial Economics degree from Western University, an Honours Bachelor Degree of Science from the University of Toronto, and is an active member of the Toronto CFA Community. He is very experienced with teaching any subject related to finance and economics, especially to high school students. His creative and passionate teaching style has sparked many students' interest in finance.

Ryan F.

Ryan Di Francesco graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Brock University in 2003. He spent a few years working in the film and television industry before deciding to take the TESOL program in 2012 at the University of Toronto. He has been teaching for nearly 10 years. Ryan was the Head of the ESL Department at Brooklyn College, an International high school in Toronto. Ryan also taught at Kaplan International Language until2021, and he has been teaching children in China online ever since. Aside from teaching, he is also a freelance writer who was engaged in journalism. He has published in Canadian national newspapers and websites including The Toronto Star and currently working on a book of his own

Sara

Sara earned a Bachelor's degree in French translation from Allameh Tabataba’i University and a Master's degree in French literature from Western University. She has 5 years of experience teaching people at various levels and ages, but she loves especially working with children and teenagers. Sara believes that successful students become successful adults and she is there to help them learn the French language, which is one of the most interesting languages in the world. She is currently a teacher in Graybridge Malkam Institute. She has also studied in various institutions including MOOC Cavilam Institute.

Sarah White

Sarah has been working as an educator since 2015. She works primarily in Toronto and the surrounding areas, teaching extracurricular programming with a focus on the arts. Sarah is also the founder of North Toronto Theatre Arts, which offers drama classes to students in grade four through twelve. Sarah holds a B.A. in Political Science, English and History from the University of Toronto and a post-graduate degree in Creative Fiction from Humber College. She is thrilled to be working with Lorvale Academy and is excited to bring her love of literature and language to her students.

Serena

Serena is currently in her second year at York University in the teacher education program. Serena has her international TEFL and TESOL certifications. She has been a private tutor with Lorvale for 2 years She adapts to new styles of learning easily and is very eager to teach. She has 5 years of experience as a certified swim instructor, and she worked on the Toronto beaches this summer as a lifeguard, communicating with children and adults alike.

Stephanie

She has a Undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree from York University in English Literature. Stephanie’s passion is in teaching English and Social Science. Stephanie has five years of experience in teaching elementary and high school students English, Social Science and Public Speaking.

Stephen

Stephen has consistently been active in local competitions and music festivals ever since starting piano at age six. After receiving his ARCT diploma in 2014, he went on to study at the University of Toronto where he obtained a Bachelor of Music in piano performance in 2021, under the tutelage of Enrico Elisi. He has 8 years of teaching experience. Stephen has a passion for collaborative piano, performing regularly with instrumentalists, singers and choirs in concerts and RCM exams since high school. His teaching philosophy aims to foster a genuine interest in music in students through a holistic experience that combines theory, performance, and a variety of musical styles. He is working towards a Masters in Music Education at the University of Toronto.

Tara is a compassionate and committed teacher who remains sensitive to students' unique needs, provides individual and whole group support, and offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated. She researches, locates, and incorporates a variety of resources to assist students in achieving their goals. Over 10 years of hands-on teaching experience allows her to help students from different backgrounds with their unique learning abilities. Her goal is to foster and maintain an open, honest, communicative, and supportive environment, in which each student feels safe, secure, special, and appropriately challenged.

Tiffany

Tiffany Jones has been working as an ESL instructor for over 5 years and holds a Bachelor in TESOL and Language Origins. As an ESL instructor, she has developed an engaging and positive learning environment for her students. Regardless of the level of education or learning style, she is able to adapt and motivate her students to reach their academic goals and also have a lot of fun! Tiffany is fluent in Spanish and American and Bolivian Sign language. Being a student herself, she has the unique perspective of knowing how best to motivate and engage her students and help them succeed. She brings a creative, fun and student- centred teaching approach to the classroom.

Vera

Vera Farrugia is an Ontario Certified teacher who has been teaching since 2014. She is currently a high school teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board and contributes to her school community both inside and outside the classroom. In addition, she is a volleyball coach, safe school ambassador and part of the school Chaplaincy team. Vera earned her Bachelor’s Degree from York University in 1998, and went on to work in the Hospitality and Tourism industry as a Corporate Event Planner for 12 years. She earned her Bachelor of Education from Brock University in 2014. Vera has three children of her own and her life experience enriches her teaching strategies.

Yvonne

Yvonne has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership in Global Perspective. She has a diverse background in education, a wealth of experience in adolescent mental health, and a solid academic background in leadership development, applied psychology, and education. Yvonne has work experience from an internship in a rehabilitation centre for children with autism and a youth mental health centre. She ,has excellent communication skills, and has demonstrated capacity to juggle many high priority assignments. Yvonne is very perceptive and patient, using numerous creative methods to assist students. She primarily offers mental health counseling to high school pupils who are preparing for exams.
